A Once-in-a-Lifetime Yoga Retreat in Africa
We’re headed to Africa for a heart-expanding, unforgettable journey across Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Zambia — thoughtfully designed to nourish your body, spirit, and sense of awe.
This is not just a yoga retreat — it’s a soul-awakening journey through three breathtaking African countries. Imagine elephants walking by as you practice yoga, riding e-bikes through one of the seven natural wonders of the world, game drives, meals by candlelight under the stars after spotting a lion in the wild… truly, this is NOT your average yoga retreat. All you have to do is show up. We’ll take care of the rest.

You’ll fly in and out of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, one of the most breathtaking sites on Earth. From there, we’ve crafted a seamless experience that includes yoga every day, all your meals and an unreal safari experience. This is the ultimate African Safari Yoga Retreat and even though it’s loaded with sights and scenes, it still moves at a relaxed, joyful pace, with all logistics handled for you.
We’ve woven together epic adventure, yoga, cultural immersion, and deep connection with plenty of time to rest, reflect, and truly feel the magic of Africa.
I’ve been fortunate to join in on 3 retreats so far (Costa Rica, Morocco, Bali). This woman, Lauren, yoga instructor, entrepreneur, (many more ‘hats’ to add) will lead you on the most transformative experience -I guarantee it.

The Experience

Day 1
Arrive in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe — one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. After airport pickup, we’ll explore the area by e-bike, riding alongside breathtaking views of the falls.
That evening, settle in at Shongwe Oasis, a beautiful boutique lodge. Unwind with a Yin Yoga session on the sunset viewing deck, and if you’d like, indulge in a massage to melt away the travel day. Followed by dinner and bedtime.
Day 2
We’ll start the morning with something few people on Earth have experienced: Yoga with Elephants! We’ll be practicing yoga on a private deck while wild elephants roam by.
Afterward, we hit the road for a scenic game drive en route to our safari camp in Botswana. We’ll spend the next several days immersed in wildlife, nature, and peace.
We’ll arrive in time to settle in, enjoy a nourishing dinner, and unwind under the stars.
Day 3
Begin your day with yoga and meditation, followed by a delicious brunch.
In the afternoon, dive into a cultural immersion experience that may include connecting with local artisans, hearing ancestral stories, and possibly even meeting the village chief.
We’ll end the day with dinner and heartfelt connection time around the fire.
Day 4
Another nourishing morning of yoga and meditation followed by brunch.
This afternoon, we head out on a game drive in search of lions, giraffes, and elephants.
After dinner, we’ll head back out for a night safari — a rare opportunity to witness nocturnal wildlife and feel the wild stillness of the African night.
Day 5
Rise for yoga, then step into the wild on a guided walking safari, where we’ll explore the terrain up close and personal. This is your chance to truly feel the rhythm of the land.
That evening, we’ll enjoy an intimate bush dinner under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Day 6
After yoga and meditation, we’ll venture into a surprise activity that blends wildlife, local culture, and awe. We’re keeping the details under wraps — because some things are better when experienced without expectation.
(Just know: you won’t want to miss it.)
Day 7
After one final yoga session and brunch, we’ll cross the border into Zambia for a lunch stop at a location that’s pure magic — where zebras roam freely around you.
You’ll have the option to join a Rhino Safari to see the rare and endangered white rhinos — a breathtaking and humbling sight few people ever witness.
We’ll return to Zimbabwe for our final evening at Shongwe Oasis, share one last meal together, and soak in the beauty of all we’ve experienced.
Adventure. Yoga. Safari. Connection.

Lauren is one of those women you meet and you just go: d a m n. She has so much fire within her, and she exudes that into the world to help curate her dream life, and to help others do that for themselves. She is another woman who really embodies the narrative of lifting others while we climb. I saw so much of the mantras I hold dear to my heart reflected back in hers. Self love. Growth. Persistence. Celebration of self + others. Divine femininity. She embodies all of this and so much more…

About your retreat leader:

Lauren Rudick | International Yoga Teacher, Soulful Adventurer, Retreat Maven
I’m Lauren — and I’m beyond thrilled to guide you through this once-in-a-lifetime African adventure.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve led yoga retreats and teacher trainings in more than a dozen countries and solo traveled to 50+ countries.
From the beaches of Costa Rica to the deserts of Morocco, I’ve built a career out of blending soulful self-discovery with awe-inspiring travel. But this retreat? It’s different. It’s deeper.
Africa has a way of cracking you open. Of reminding you what really matters. Of making you feel wild, alive, and incredibly present.
I created this journey not just to lead yoga — but to offer something rare:
A moment to unplug and reconnect. To move with nature. To eat well, rest deeply, and laugh until your belly hurts and be surrounded by awe-inspiring wildlife.
If you’re craving connection to yourself, to others and to the natural world, I’d love for you to join me.
See you in the bush,
Lauren
This was amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience! Everything was outstanding and exceeded my expectations: location, food, yoga, but, most of all, people. Lauren is an incredible leader and teacher, it was such a privilege to from her. The venue is beautiful, created and maintained with respect to nature, authenticity and attention to details. I enjoyed every minute of being there. I also loved that the group was small enough for us to feel like a family, where everyone had a voice and felt safe to have deep intimate conversations. I left feeling inspired, pampered, grateful and will be looking forward for my next adventure with Lauren and her team.”I still can’t help but be filled with so much gratitude, love and happiness. “A six-day yoga retreat with Lauren Rudick – the twinkly eyed Canadian renowned for her practical and light-hearted approach to the discipline promised everything I could of wished for. Meditation, yoga and travel in a city bursting with magic and mystery. There was also a chance of meeting ten other women with the same interests, who like me were on a mission to find more balance in their lives. I had no idea what the journey would entail but this was the challenge. Instinct told me to take a leap of faith… ….Lauren’s main goal is to practice love while practicing yoga – something she radiates in every form from the moment she wakes up in the morning – and to push your-self without punishing yourself.”
